Flinders Island is just a 45 minute flight in a small, 20-seater plane from Hobart on Sharpe airlines (or you can fly in from Launceston or Melbourne). In late summer, while on a whirlwind weeklong tour of Tasmania, we finally made the hop over to Flinders, an island of big vistas, big tides (3m), giant limpets, vast land, sea and skyscapes, and big sunsets

The Wooden Boat Trust, Franklin

Just under an hour outside of Hobart - a lovely drive down roads lined with apple, nectarine, pear and plum trees - you’ll find The Bowmont, overlooking the Huon River in the village of Franklin.

Across the road, wooden sheds nestle over the river.

The Stylist's Guide to Ibiza | La Granja

On my last trip to Ibiza, all notion of its beach rave archetype was dissipated with an incredible stay at La Granja, which revealed a side to the island that was all sophistication, holistic approach and design sensibility. My stay embodied beautiful experiences that spoke of uninhibited relaxation for the informed traveller and elevated stays with no sense of pretension or exclusivity – every guest was VIP. After flying in from London we headed straight to the mountainous area and pastoral inlands that surround La Granja, a century old farmhouse estate turned exemplary hotel with kitchen gardens, 10 acres of farmland, outdoor dining, communal spaces & pool.

The Stylist’s Guide to Petite Museums of Paris

The Stylist’s Guide to Petite Museums of Paris

I always craft my travel around a particular theme, and my last trip to Paris focused on exploring the wonderfully idiosyncratic little museums you can find hidden away behind the grand doors of 18th and 19th century mansions and hôtel particulier dotted throughout the city. Generously bequeathed to the state, or privately run, these jewel-box museums are like precious time capsules of the Paris of a bygone era.

If you’re visiting for the Maison & Objet fair from January 19 to 23, and you want to avoid the well-trodden paths of the big Parisian tourist haunts, here’s some inspiration on a few of my favourite little treasure troves to take in while you’re in town.
