Introducing a Tile collaboration between The Society inc by Sibella Court & Teranova Tiles
Tradewinds is a collection of 7 tile patterns & shapes designed by Sibella. As a true story teller, Sibella delved into her imagination and dreamt up an imaginary retired captain who inspired the collection. He resides in a shiplap house where the forest meets the sea, and spends his days wandering the shores, happily beach-combing & birdwatching and keeping to the rhythm of the sea. He may have a parrot for company and his house is littered with souvenirs & curiosities from his seafaring adventures to faraway shores.

The colours & materials featured in the tile range stem from Sibella’s many travels and conjure up the romance of the seafaring adventures, with each design steeped in nostalgia & the romance of times gone-by of manned lighthouses with keepers, magical sea-creatures, wooden ships with canvas sails, mer castles and exotic spices & riches from foreign lands.
Featuring a combination of patterned encaustic cement tiles and plain marble tiles, the Tradewinds collection encourages you to mix and match to suit your wooden seaside house through to your French chateau. Timeless, classic, with a hint of humour and a good dose of nostalgia.

The overland Track in Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain is one of the most beautifully scenic, nature-immersing hikes you can possibly do. It will reset you into the rhythm and awe of nature. I went in late April when the Tanglefoot Fagus, an endemic deciduous beech endemic to the Tassie highlands leaves were turning and littered the track like orange & yellow snowflakes.
Bushwalking is one of the best ways to immerse yourself within nature to witness the changing flora & fauna, especially as the seasons change from Summer to Winter here in the southern hemisphere.
