The Stylist's Guide to Satellite Island

The Stylist's Guide to Satellite Island

I have had a Satellite Island stay jostling for top adventure over the last few years and after some serious friend wrangling sans kids, we headed to this magical place for a long weekend in June.

TSI x Kimberley Amos

TSI x Kimberley Amos

Last year I reached out to some of my favourite creatives who share a likemindedness to The Society Inc, to borrow their eyes and explore their interpretation of my product range. These fellow aesthetes come from a range of backgrounds & pursuits, from photographers to interior stylists to product designers, and I invited them to put their own spin & story into the imagery.

I can't remember the exact first meeting with Kim, but knew that what she was creating at The Atlantic was magnetic and it was inevitable that we would connect. Our early days of friendship were invitations to her Making nights at a studio in the Byron Bay industrial estate with a trusty group of friends. Each catch up would centre around a different project she had imagined up, I would spend the night chatting and having a nice time, so much so that I would leave the class empty handed but full to the brim.

These fellow aesthetes come from a range of backgrounds & pursuits, from photographers to interior stylists to product designers (some even a mix of all), and I invited them to put their own spin & story into the imagery.

Ditte has one of the most beautiful eyes for capturing magic and detail in her photography. Our times living in New York crossed over and I had the luck to work with her many times on some amazing editorial shoots.

This week I look through the eyes of Sarah Andrews, innkeeper of her gorgeous stay Captains Rest, stylist & teacher at The Hosting masterclass. We are very much of the same ilk, with a nomadic spirit, a shared love of curated stays and a good dose of seafaring paraphernalia. I was fortunate enough to stay at Captains Rest which you can read about here, and look forward to returning there one day

Rigg Design Prize | Bring Home the Look

This week is all about the Bed in my Rigg Bring Home the Look series. I see this zone as a place to rest, sleep or read as presented by the mix-use You & Me Isola bed from Hub Furniture. Piled high with cushions, covered in cosy textiles and with a natural finish bedside Gravity table by Toby Jones, this zone invites you to take a break with the watchful guardian that is Anna-Wili Highfield's Owl sculpture.

Vaucluse House

Vaucluse House

There are many historical buildings around Sydney, but one that always captures my attention is Vaucluse House, nestled in the southern headland of Sydney Harbour and overlooking the secluded cove of Beach Paddock.

The Wensley

The Wensley

The best of architectural shed living is epitomised by The Wensley, a wonderful example of recycled timber done right. Tucked away on 80 acres in Wensleydale you almost wouldn’t know this luxury rustic stay is there, yet the house’s grand structure is revealed once you have driven through a tunnel of eucalypts, with all its sides covered in timber at varying stages of silvering off and floor to ceiling windows, hinting at the exceptional vistas to be viewed from every room within.

Captain's Cabin at the 1880s Colo Church

With so many exciting products launching in July of this year, it was necessary to dream up a shoot to showcase the lovely new things coming to The Society inc Range plus some old favourites. The stars so aligned that my photographer friend Mikkel Vang was in town and we teamed up to do a shoot and create a Captain’s Cabin.

Shop the Look | My Kitchen

I inherited a very plain kitchen, & although the materials used were not to my taste, they provided a great backdrop and I was able to manipulate and layer the space to cater to my cooking needs & lifestyle.
