TSI x Ditte Isager

Last year I reached out to some of my favourite creatives who share a likemindedness to The Society Inc, to borrow their eyes and explore their interpretation of my product range. These fellow aesthetes come from a range of backgrounds & pursuits, from photographers to interior stylists to product designers (some even a mix of all), and I invited them to put their own spin & story into the imagery.

Ditte has one of the most beautiful eyes for capturing magic and detail in her photography. Our times living in New York crossed over and I had the luck to work with her many times on some amazing editorial shoots.

Where do you live & Profession
Ditte Isager photographer
Living in Copenhagen with husband Christian and 3 kids, Wilder 7, Roxy 3 and Ziggy 1
Our house is a 100 years old brick house in a residential part of Copenhagen. We moved in in 2013 when we had our first kid. I love this area it is very close to where I grew up, there is lots of green parks with lakes, and it’s only 20 min bike ride to the city center. Both my sister and my Mum live 5 min down the road, and after living abroad for years, I really appreciate to be so close to my family.

Favourite space, room, or place
My office, we have built a home office, when I’m not on set I wanna work from home it gives me a great freedom.
It is a modern little extension to the house, everything in wood. It is so simple and beautiful, lots of glass doors so I feel like I’m siting in the garden. Wooden houses have a great feel and everyone in the family loves to be there.

Favourite season
Spring

Last book you read, or podcast, or audio book, or mag
With 3 small kids, I mainly read about dinosaurs and Peppa pig, it’s not that many books I read for myself, but last one was from the fab Delphin de Vigan Nothing Holds Back the Night, and I have her new book on my bedside table in hope that I one day will start reading before I fall a sleep

Most treasured object or heirloom
I wear pretty much the same jewellery everyday and they all mean a lot to me, specially the 4 rings I always wear. A ring from Christian and kids made by a friend of mine for my 40th bday, my wedding ring that use to belong to Christian’s grandmother, my fathers ring, he died when I was 10, and when my sister turned 18, I got it divided into a ring for both of us. A couple of years ago I lost it on a shoot in high snow in Colorado, I was so devastated, when I returned from the shot Christian had bought a ring for me that had been on my wishlist for very long time……3 month later I got a call from Colorado, snow was melted and they found my fathers ring, so its back on my finger

Favourite scent in your house
Fresh brewed coffee in the morning.

Music you listen to at home
Miles Davis

What do you want for your birthday
Well my birthday is March 7th and the last time we had the whole family together before Corona shut it all down, so I just want a family get together

Summer Stay at The Salty Dog

Summer Stay at The Salty Dog

This year, my dear friend and photographer; William Meppem and I captured the essence of this perfect boathouse, located in Newport, Sydney. The ideal spot to drop your anchor this holiday season.

I have dreamt of a boathouse escape for many years and all of my dreams have come true in a recent visit to a space that captures it all, The Salty Dog. This miniature house provides all of the nuances of boat building within its own minute space. Situated amongst the quintessential Sydney landscape of emerald green water and unique sandstone structures - surrounded by angophora gums.

With the extension of the dinghy & direct entrance to the water, this house evolves into an explorative landscape that extends beyond its petite footprint. If I were to create the ideal boathouse... This would be it.
