This hanger's namesake is Sydney Parkinson, one of the scientific gentleman who accompanied Joseph Banks aboard the Endeavour. He was a skilled botanical illustrator, known for capturing on paper the exotic flora & fauna specimens found whilst exploring the Pacific & Australia.
This hanger’s shape would be just as useful for drying seaweed & climbing Australian flora in preparation for pressing as it would for hanging tea towels, ties, belts & jewellery!
