I have a fondness for historical eccentric gardens and the owners who envisaged them, particularly 19th century follies and grottos. Often the lady of the house and the children would collect shells and over time decorate the grotto walls in a naive manner, recreating an imagined sea-cave. These barnacles pots are a nod to that era of crafty kitschiness & follies, chasing dreams of mermaid lairs and sunken shipwrecks.

Measures approximately 38cm wide x 45cm high. Internal top diameter approximately 26cm.
