Syria Soap Factory

What you see here are images of a beautiful olive oil soap factory I visited in Aleppo, Syria, in my travels for Nomad. 

When I stopped by, it was not soap-making time, but the freshly made bricks of soap were stacked like chimneys for hardening. It was a magical place that most likely doesn't exist anymore. I am so devastated to think about what is happening in the world and this morning, I donated money to the Syrian cause to help keep Aleppo's last hospital open for another day.
