My Indian Colour Palette

Objet trouve

The dusty, faded colours of India: old paper posters peeling off & covered by new ones, the optimistic paintwork, all faded & chipped, lining streets & shops. Trucks cheerfully decorated with peacocks & swans. Much loved textiles, patched & reworked, dyed turbans of Rajasthan camel drivers, villages freshly painted in celebration of a local wedding.

Coloured paper kites should be caught in trees more often. We talked of a wedding last night. They have people who carry chandeliers. And white horses with hot pink painted hooves. Tune in next week as I draw these colours into interior inspiration.
