A traveller who goes by sea; a man who serves as a sailor. A navigator, a shipwright’s finest companion.
With the blink of an eye those tranquil days at the beach and sunset picnics have surpassed us & all of a sudden 2017 has hit the ground running. As many of us have left the beach for the books, we thought what better hue to pull from our colour box this week than Seafarer, reminding us of those wondrous and not-so-far gone summer days by the sea with a mojito in one hand and book in the other.
Seafarer is an all time favourite of mine, found in my palette NbyNW. Seafarer’s darker, navy like hue reminds me of the adventurers of eras passed combating the deep blue sea, bound by dark and stormy conditions. The colour is a poignant and deep blue, it’s bold without being too dark. Seafarer is my go to colour for an interior when I am after a bold hue that isn’t black or too bright!
Time to give your kitchen at home a facelift? Splash a few coats of seafarer over your kitchen cabinetry. Pair it with a Carrara Marble bench top & aged brass hardware such as our Curio Drawer Pull and Porters Hook to get the designer kitchen look. Or is your home full of bland white walls, doors AND joinery? Paint your front door, french doors or plain timber joinery in seafarer to add some interest to your home and to highlight lines and frames within the joinery - you won't believe the immediate difference it makes!
Seafarer is perfect with any hue in the NbyNW palette, shop it here.
